New Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance Sneak Peek!
If you follow me on Instagram, Twitter, or if you’re a newsletter subscriber, then you might have seen I’m working on Reverse Harem paranormal romance under the pen name Veronica Eden. I have a stand-alone and a trilogy series debuting in 2020 with more stories coming! The first chapter of my stand-alone, More Than Bargained, is available now to subscribers of my Veronica Eden mailing list and I have a special WIP Wednesday sneak preview for you in this post.
I can’t wait to share this story with readers! I’m loving writing Talia, a spitfire witch who leaps to follow her instincts, and her trio of demons, who each fall in love with the mortal realm and Talia. Read on to see a sneak peek of this story!
Blurb:
Talia is many things: the lone occupant of her great aunt’s old Victorian home, a descendant of a legacy bloodline, and pissed off. The Collective of witches doesn’t want to let her in? Fine.
Calling a demon is Talia’s last resort. She doesn’t expect to end up with a twisted BOGO bargain—two extra demons for the price of summoning one. With three eager demons stuck by her side, she has to balance the urgent need to complete the binding ritual while resisting her desire for all three hot demons. Is this one supernatural call she should have let drop, or will Talia give in to the temptation?
More Than Bargained is a fast-paced Reverse Harem paranormal romance!
WIP Wednesday Preview:
Jasper spreads his hands while Miles looks down at himself and Vero struggles with the form-fitted finery that threatens to tear at the seams.
The three of them stand there in wedding gowns.
“What the—” Talia drags her fingers through her hair as she mentally keysmashes.
Miles spins and a delighted laugh rolls out of him when his skirt fans out. Jasper actually looks really fucking good; his thick black hair, long limbs, and sharp angles give him the look of a striking high fashion model. Vero is the one that Talia has to struggle not to laugh at, the elegant mermaid-style gown painted onto his muscular body.
“Okay,” Talia says on a long sigh. “Clearly you landed on my secret wedding board.”
“Is this not the fashion?” Jasper asks, the corner of his mouth curling up. He smooths his hands over the material. “This fabric is quite luxurious. Comfortable to move in as well.”
“Speak for yourself,” Vero grunts, shuffling a step and shooting his arms out for balance.
Miles laughs and slings an arm over Vero’s bare shoulders. He traces the sweetheart neckline that Vero’s pecs barely fill. “Why did you pick this one, then?”
“I was…thinking of how it would look on her.” Vero tips his head in Talia’s direction.
Miles snorts and claps Vero on the back. “Dear brother, never change.”
Talia’s heart gives a traitorous fluttering beat. Her secret wedding board is just—it’s a thing, okay? It’s something to do when she is bored. Everyone does it.
“O-kay.” Talia pitches her voice with controlled command. She takes her phone from Miles and redirects them to a search for men’s fashion. “As lovely as you look with a rose gold lining under chiffon…that won’t work. Try this instead.”
“Ah, I see,” Jasper says when she hands the phone to him.
He browses through the photos, his initial clumsiness at handling the phone rapidly evolving into more confidence. Jasper concentrates on a photo and Talia watches in fascination as his wedding dress ripples into a three piece suit. Her gaze drags up and down Jasper’s new look, her mouth dry because damn. Jasper glances at her, gauging her reaction. His lips twitch and he changes again, this time into an expensive looking pair of dark designer jeans and a v-neck shirt.
“Is this more suitable?” Jasper asks.
Whatever he sees in Talia’s gaze makes him smile and he nods, offering the phone to Miles.
